The Gingerbread Man

I found a wonderful Little Golden Book this morning - ‘The Gingerbread Man’, illustrated by Bonnie and Bill Rutherford. I just love the style, that foxy smile, the textures and shapes and colours.

I adore this little book - “Little Tommy Purr” by Racey Helps. It is made for tiny hands to hold and the illustrations are utterly superb, what a treasure.

This Saul Bass poster is just such a classic, I love that arm, those blocky chopped out colours. I’m sure some of Nick Cave’s early bands album artwork was inspired by this wonderful look. It also takes me right back to the Paul Rand era.
