Looking a bit chubbier than intended…another draft illustration. I’ve realised how hard it is to draw hands in this style…my goodness, really hard! Usually my illustrations have any number of fingers, sometimes 3, sometimes 4, and I don’t worry about the shape much, it just has to approximate hands….

My own little wild things - this is a book I’m working on with my mother, who has written the text and given very firm ideas about how she would like to see it illustrated. Have decided to use the challenge as my vehicle for pushing myself to work on this book

My enthusiasm for the pirates was starting to wane a little, so I’ve broadened my theme to be ‘Wild Things’ - basically, this could include pirates, modern day rogues, villains, monsters or just plain cool types, little this little wild kitty biker hoon above.
